Hyderabad: Known for often making controversial statements, Telangana BJP MLA Raja Singh yesterday said there are backstabbers who talk about celebrating the deaths of security personnel following the Pulwama attack in India also.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a free hand to the Army to deal with the situation in the aftermath of the Pulwama terror attack in which 40 CRPF personnel were killed in a terror attack, he said,

Addressing a gathering organised by Hindu Janajagrati Samiti in Maharashtra on Sunday, the MLA from Goshamahal in Hyderabad said, “Modi ji, we request with folded hands. The free hand which you gave to the Army, give us a free hand for 10 minutes. Backstabbers and terrorists are there outside the country, many terrorists have taken birth inside the country also.”

He claimed that many such anti-nationals had been blocked on social media and FIR has been registered against 96 people and some have even been arrested.

He alleged that there are people in Indian universities who hail Pakistan and Jaish-e-Mohammed. “To drub the backstabbers who eat in India and sing for Pakistan, Modi ji, give us 10 minutes time,” Singh said.

He further said the youth in the country had expected that during Modi’s rule, Pakistan would be given a befitting reply. Another big surgical strike need to happen that Pakistan would never forget.

More than 13,000 soldiers have died in Kashmir, and no more sacrifices should be made. People of want war with Pakistan, he said. He claimed the whole of Pakistan is an ‘adda’ and terror takes birth there.

A Jaish suicide bomber rammed a vehicle loaded with over 100 kg of explosives into a bus carrying Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel in Pulwama district on 14 February. 40 CRPF personnel were killed and five injured in the incident. Since the Uri attack in 2016, the Pulwama incident has been termed as one of the worst terror attacks in the recent past. The suicide bomber was identified as Adil Ahmed, who had joined the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) in 2018. The terror group has claimed responsibility for the suicide attack.
