Chennai: India-Arab nations have very rich bilateral religious and cultural heritage since many centuries now, said Prince of Arcot, Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali.
Participating at a one-day national seminar on ‘Islamic Arabic Literature in India’ organised by the post graduate and research department of Arabic, The New College, here recently, he said, “The Arabs had a close commercial and cultural relation with the Indians since pre-Islamic period.”
He also emphasized on the teachings of Islam, on etiquettes and manners in society, beside preaching peace and universal brotherhood.
The Prince of Arcot recalled the contributions of eminent Indian Muslim Scholars of Arabic literature and Islam, who rendered great service to the nation and humanity since the time immemorial.
Renowned and eminent Islamic Scholars across the country participated in the seminar to bring to the light the great contribution of them to India in the fields of Islamic Science, in general, and Arabic literature, in particular, a press release said.
