The critically-acclaimed Pariyerum Perumal, directed by Mari Selvaraj and produced by Pa Ranjith, is all set to be remade in Kannada.
To be directed by Gandhi Manivasagam, who made Kalavani Mappillai before, the movie would feature Maithreya (son-in-law of AVM Guhan) as the hero. It will be his maiden venture in Sandalwood.
Maithreya stayed in Bengaluru for some time recently and closely observed the lifestyle and mannerisms of people there. Since it is an emotional drama, he is preparing himself hard for the film. Search is on for rest of the cast and crew. The movie will go on floors in Bengaluru soon.
