Chennai: Thiruvallur defeated Coimbatore by eight wickets to win the TNCA Inter-Districts Under-16 tournament final at the Gojan School of Business and Tech Ground in Thiruvallur on Monday.
By virtue of the victory in the summit clash, Thiruvallur bagged the PR Thevar Trophy. The away side, which trailed by 45 runs in the first innings, was bowled out for 127 in the second. With just 83 runs required to come up trumps, Thiruvallur got to its target in 24.3 overs, losing two wickets.
