Rs 2 crore worth gold missing from jeweller in Chennai

Chennai: The city police are investigating the case of missing gold from a prominent jewellery outlet at T Nagar.

Mysteriously, after the incident came to light, an employee allegedly committed suicide.

According to the police, as much as 600 grams of gold went missing from the store and an internal inquiry was conducted with quality controller of the outlet Ravi Kumar.

Following this, on 15 April, Ravi finished his day’s work, left for his house in Jafferkhanpet and committed suicide.

Subsequently, representatives of the store lodged a complaint with Pondy Bazaar police requesting to find the stolen jewels.
