Chennai: Leading carmaker Hyundai has launched the Venue compact SUV in the country with prices starting at Rs 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom). To be available in six trim levels, the car will have three engine options, two petrols and one diesel.
The new 1.0 litre turbo petrol can also be had with a seven-speed DCT gearbox and the car has economy figures of 18.27 kpl (for the turbo petrol), 17.52 kpl for the 1.2 litre petrol and 23.7 kpl for the 1.4 litre diesel.
In terms of equipment, the car, as standard, has power steering, AC, front power windows and a 12V socket. Climate control, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, diamond cut alloy wheels, wireless charging and BlueLink connectivity, can be had on the higher variants.
Safety-wise, there are dual airbags, ABS and rear parking sensors are standard across the range with the top variant getting six airbags along with ESC.
