Air India announces new flights from Chennai


Chennai: National carrier Air India has announced that it will be commencing new flights from Chennai to Varanasi, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Kolkata, with effect from 5 June. These flights will operate with the latest A320 Neo Aircraft, with convenient schedules/timings.

A release from Air India said it will operate flights AI-595/596 on Chennai/Varanasi/Chennai sector, four days in a week. Flight AI-595 will leave Chennai at 4.50 pm and reach Varanasi at 7.05 pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays; and will leave at 10.20 am and reach Varanasi at 12.35 pm on Sundays.

In the return direction, AI-596 will leave Varanasi at 07.35 pm and arrive Chennai at 9.35 pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays; and will leave Varanasi at 1.10 pm and arrive Chennai at 3.30 pm on Sundays. Starting fares are available from Rs 3,565 onwards.

Additional flights on Chennai-Bengaluru, Chennai-Ahmedabad and Chennai-Kolkata sectors will see new flights operate daily on Chennai/Bengaluru/Chennai sector. Starting fares are available from Rs 1,228 onwards.

New flights AI 593/594 on Chennai/Ahmedabad/Chennai sector, will operate on all days of the week except Sundays with fares available from Rs 3,880.
