Mangaluru: Pointing at BJP’s resounding majority in the Lok Sabha and chances of the party in getting an upper hand in the Rajya Sabha by next year, Pejawar Mutt seer Swami Vishwesha Teertha urged the Centre to introduce a law for building Ram temple.
The seer is known to be associated with the Vishwa Hindu Parishad outfit. Speaking to reporters at Kadri on Thursday, The seer said he had taken part in a high-level meeting of saints at Ayodhya, where the Ram temple issue was discussed.
He said that he hoped in a couple of years the Centre led by BJP will build the Ram temple at Ayodhya by introducing a legislation to meet the aspirations of Hindus and not leave the decision to courts.
