
Chennai: Retired JT Industrial Advisor, Indian Investment Centre – Govt of India, Jaya Srinivasan donated a cardiac patient monitor, worth Rs 8 lakh, to Public Health Centre, West Mambalam at a function held at Teeka Singh building recently.
The monitor, as per cardiac surgeon Dr Naresh, is very useful equipment for the patients. The multi para meter will monitor both medical and also surgical needs of the patients, continuous real time monitoring of multiple vital para metre like heart rate, BP, heart pressure, oxygen and this can be done by a single machine, a press release said.
Jaya Srinivasan is a regular donor to PHC. According to her, the donations are made from her savings and hard earned money. Right from day one she started working, saving money was her passion and she was very keen in avoiding unnecessary expenses.
PHC secretary R Kannan welcomed the gathering. T A Subramanian, spoke at length about Jaya Srinivasan’s long standing association with PHC.
PHC president and medical director, Dr M K Srinivasan, received the cheque and S Krishnamurthy proposed the vote of thanks.
