Dr Prathap C Reddy of Apollo Hospitals releasing Textbook of Medicine (second edition) in Chennai Sunday in the presence of senior hospital officials and lyricst Vairamuthu.

Chennai: Executive chairman of Apollo Hospitals Group Dr Prathap C Reddy has released three books on medicine in Chennai. The ‘Textbook of Medicine’ (second edition), ‘5,000 MCQ’s in Internal Medicine’, ‘A to Z 1000 pearls in Internal Medicine’ and also a booklet on Completion of 300 cases in ‘Advance Fever Clinic’ were released in the presence of lyricst Vairamuthu on Sunday.

According to a release, the ‘Textbook of Medicine’ book will benefit the undergraduate and postgraduate medical students, BPharm students, BDS students and physiotherapists. The book is edited by senior consultant, department of general medicine of Apollo Hospitals Dr T V Devarajan, and the chapters in the book are co-authored by various doctors. The book is written by eminent doctors who are specialists and teachers in their respective branches and it contains 36 chapters.

A book on ‘The 5000 MCQS in general medicine’ which covers syllabus useful for MD, DNB, MRCOG, USMLE and NEET examinations and a book on ‘A to Z 1000 Pearls in Internal medicine’ will help students to understand important facts about diseases and medication.

The second edition of the textbook was reviewed by president of Royal college of physicians of Glasgow , UK and he has strongly recommended it for medical students.

Devarajan is in jury to select Oscar Award for the Doctors in Asia and also has over 40 years of experience in teaching and has many publications to his credit like books for healthy life for public which were released in English, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages.
