Chennai: Governor Banwarilal Purohit, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and leaders from various political parties today extended their New Year greetings.
In a press release, the Governor, said, ”On this happy occasion let us all resolve to work together in a spirit of harmony and friendship to usher in progress and development so as to create a brighter and better tomorrow”.
”May the dawn of New Year bring plenty of happiness, peace, good health, progress and prosperity to the people of Tamilnadu,” she said.
In his greetings, the Chief Minister, said, ”I wish we overcome all hurdles and achieve greater success and script a new history. Let there be joy and prosperity in everyone’s life and peace prevails forever”.
PMK founder Dr S Ramadoss, in his greetings, said, ”I wish joy, growth, prosperity and brotherhood prevail among people. Let’s all remember that hard work will give us desired results”.
MDMK general secretary Vaiko said, ”I take immense pleasure in extending New Year greetings. Let’s protect secularism and spread brotherhood among all religions. I sincerely hope that all distress faced by farmers would come to end soon”.
Wishing a happy New Year, TMC president G K Vasan, said, ”My sincere wishes for global unity and poverty to perish. I pray for a prosperous Tamilnadu and strong India this year”.
The Prince of Arcot, Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali, in his greetings, said, ”We should be thankful to the Almighty that this day we are alive to experience the commencement of the New Year. But, let us not forget those who are not amongst us – those innocents, who were victims of natural calamities, terrorism, war and poverty”.
”Let us try to heal the scars left by the past and make memories as our inspirations to work towards global peace and universal brotherhood. Let us all pray for the unity and peaceful coexistence of people, belonging to various faiths,” the Prince of Arcot added.
Congress MP H Vasantha Kumar and Indian Hajj Association president Abubacker were among those extended their greetings.
