New Delhi: One more senior Congress leader has come out in the open to question the leadership capabilities of interim president Sonia Gandhi and former chiefĀ Rahul Gandhi.
Anil Shastri said that the senior party leadership was inaccessible to leaders from lower ranks and from other states outside of Delhi.
“There are certain things lacking in the leadership of Congress party and the most significant one is that meetings are not held between party leaders. If a party leader from a different state comes to Delhi, it’s not easy for him to meet senior party leaders here,” Shastri was quoted as saying by ANI.
Meanwhile, Sonia has said, “We are a large family. We have differences and different views on many occasions, but in the end, we come together as one. The need of the hour is to fight for the cause of the people and the forces that are failing this country. Organisational issues are always addressed and the process of constitution and reconstitution is a continuous one.”
As the Congress Working Committee unanimously resolved to ask Sonia Gandhi to continue as party chief till an AICC session is convened to elect the new president, she said she does not hold any ill-will towards those who wrote the letter because she treats them as part of the family irrespective of howsoever hurtful the remarks made today or in the past of any colleague may have been.
