‘To play a role with grey shades was challenging. Audience will love my performance in V’, says actor Nani.
His 25th film, directed by Indraganti Mohana Krishna, features Sudheer a babu, Nivetha Thomas, Aditi Hydari among others in the cast. Due to corona pandemic, V is releasing in Amazon Prime 4 September.
Nani who is popular in Kollywood for movies like Veppam, Aaha Kalyan am besides Naan We, says, ‘When my director approached me with the story of V to me, I knew I wanted to play the bad guy. It had lots of twists and turns loaded with action.’
On his character, Nani, says, ‘ My role is unpredictable, my approach to the role had to be a lot more dynamic. The character has to keep people guessing. It was challenging for me’.
V would be completely different from my earlier films. Doing action scenes were exciting. I thoroughly enjoyed the process, he adds.
A great admirer of filmmaker Mani Ratnam, Nani says that he badly wants to work with him one day. Sharing at least one scene on screen with veteran actor Rajinikanth is my dream desire, he adds.
Today south cinema commands great respect. Our technicians are admired and respected everywhere and credit for it should go to the likes of Mani Ratnsm, SS Rajamouli and Shankar, says Nani.
