Mumbai: Bollywood filmmaker-actor Anurag Kashyap was questined at the Versova police station in connection a rape case filed against him by actress Payal Ghosh.
The police on Wednesday issued summons to Kashyap in connection with the rape case against him. The Versova police registered an FIR against Kashyap on 22 September after the actress along with her lawyer Nitin Satpute approached the police.
Payal Ghosh met Maharashtra Governor BC Koshyari on Tuesday to discuss the details of her case against Anurag Kashyap. She also requested him to grant her Y-security citing threat to her life.
Payal shared a set of pictures on Twitter where she is seen standing with the Governor. She was accompanied by her lawyer Nitin Satpute and Rajya Sabha MP Ramdas Athawale.
Along with the pictures, she wrote, “Had a great meeting with honorable @maha_governor Shri @BSKoshyari Sir ??. He had supported me and we have to go all the way. The naysayers will be there but I will not stop, not stop and not stop. Bring it on!!”
Tagging PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister, Amit Shah, she wrote on Twitter, “I have put down a case against a culprit who even others are convicting of similar acts and I am the one who is grilled and questioned. While the alleged and the guilty is chilling at his home. Will, I get justice sir.”
