Chennai: More curbs are likely to be implemented in Tamilnadu to control the spread of Covid-19.
According to sources, the measures will be in addition to the existing night curfew and weekend total lockdown.
On Friday, after taking part in a videoconference with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the steps being taken to contain the spread of Covid-19 in the State,Chief Secretary Rajeev Ranjan and other higher officials called on Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami.
Sources said that during the meetings with the PM and the CM, steps being taken to keep the pandemic under control the State were discussed.
Future strategies too came under discussion, sources said and added that a final decision (on more curbs) would be taken soon.
