T K Raghavan

Chennai: Tamilnadu BJP general secretary T K Raghavan has said that the party is also of the opinion that they lost in the Assembly elections due to their alliance with the AIADMK.

He was responding to the comments made by former Minister C Ve Shanmugam that AIADMK lost the polls due to the alliance with BJP.

Speaking during a meeting with his supporters at Villupuram, Shanmugam had reportedly said that people wanted the AIADMK regime to continue, however the votes got split because of the party’s alliance with BJP.

Shanmugam said that AIADMK lost the votes of the minority people due to the alliance with BJP.

“Minority people are not angry against us or the party. Their policy is against the BJP which was the major reason for our defeat,” he said.
