Chennai: Tanker (Tamilnad Kidney Research) Foundation has inaugurated new Haemodialysis machine for the Urban Community Health Center Perungudi and Tanker Dialysis Unit here on Monday.
The 12th machine in the Perungudi unit was inaugurated by ADGP K Jayanth Murali. Pledging support for Tanker Foundation’s efforts, Jayanth Murali, hoped there would be a dialysis unit in every district of Tamilnadu.
Jayanth Murali also inaugurated the dialysis machine he donated along with other well-wishers, at the Tanker Foundation Dialysis Centre functioning at the Urban Community Health Centre (UCHC) at Perungudi, a press release said.
Tanker Foundation managing–trustee, Latha A Kumaraswami, detailing the work done by the NGO, said that so far Tanker has done more than 4 lakh free and subsidized dialysis through their 12 dialysis centres thanks to valuable support from the CMCHIS, Greater Chennai Corporation and various Rotary Clubs, free masons, Round Table and other valuable donors.
Tanker Foundation founder-trustee Dr Georgi Abraham and other dignitaries participated.
