Chennai: The Tamilnadu Assembly session, which began here Wednesday with the customary New Year address by Governor R N Ravi, will last for only two days till 7 January in view of the surge in Covid cases and spread of Omicron variant.
A decision to restrict the session for two days was taken at the Business Advisory Council meeting held at Assembly Speaker M Appavu’s chamber after the Governor’s address.
During the two-day session, a motion of thanks to the Governor for his address would be adopted. The ruling DMK government is also likely to table some key bills during this brief session.
