Chennai: Chief Minister M K Stalin is likely to leave for Dubai later this month to take part in the Dubai Expo 2022 to attract investments. This will be his first trip abroad after assuming office as CM on 7 May, 2021.
According to reports, Stalin will be visiting the Dubai Expo 2020 which has been underway since late last year and interact with top business personalities.
The global expo, which has been participated by around 190 countries including India, will be held till 31 March and the event is in the spotlight and has been attracting thousands of visitors. Each participating country has installed a separate arena to showcase its heritage and tradition.
It may be recalled that American entrepreneur and member of the ruling Democratic Party, Rajan Natarajan called on Stalin at the Secretariat last month and invited him for a meeting of investors to be held in the USA.
He also said that in the last three years many American companies have been pulling out of China and it is the right time for Tamilnadu to start attracting them to the State.
