Bangladesh Coast Guard ship makes Port call in Chennai

Chennai: A Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) Ship ‘Kamaruzzman’ has made a port call at Chennai and will be in the city till 28 April.

The BCG ship recently participated in the 8th NATPOLREX held at Goa from 18 to 20 April, a Defence release said.
On her return passage to Bangladesh, the ship has made a port call at Chennai.

During the stay of BCG ship Kamaruzzman in harbor 28 April, various activities are planned. They included official calls, reciprocal visit onboard ships and professional interactions between personnel of both the Coast Guards.

The aim of the visit is to boost interactions between Coast Guards of both nations and enhance inter-operability in the fields of maritime search and rescue, anti-piracy operations and other maritime law enforcement tasks.

At the helm of the BCG ship is Commanding Officer, Captain Mohammad
Kibria Haq who is assisted by a team of professional and highly motivated
men of the Bangladesh Coast Guard.
