The DMK allies in State Assembly including Congress,VCK, CPM and MDMK today staged a walkout from the State Assembly in protest against Governor RN Ravi’s remarks on Tamizhagam made a few days ago.
As the session began today and Governor rose up to deliver his inaugural address, members from Congress, MDMK, VCK amd Communist parties shouted slogan against Governor. They chose to stage a walkout.
The duration of the session will be decided at a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the Assembly. Governor address will be followed by debate on the Motion of Thanks to the Governor’s address and take up bills, besides other businesses.
