The first state conference of AIADMK after former CM Edappadi Palaniswami was sworn in as general secretary of AIADMK is scheduled to be held in Madurai this Sunday. The whole town is abuzz with posters, festoons and banners welcoming Edappadi Palaniswami.We expect over 10 lakh party cadres to attend the mega conclave. It would usher a change in Tamilnadu politics, say senior leaders of the party.
AIADMK leader R Kamaraj said, “This conference will be a turning point for AIADMK. This conference is going to be held in a manner that confirms the return of the late former CM Jayalalithaa’s rule.”
Edappadi Palaniswami became General Secretary of AIADMK after J Jayalalithaa after a court nod. The General Secretary chair went to EPS after a long leadership tussle with former TN CM O Panneerselvam. Later, OPS along with his family members and supporters were ousted from AIADMK.
