
Founder and president of the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK), Vijayakanth, was admitted to a private hospital late in the evening on Tuesday due to health concerns. The hospitalization, described as a routine health checkup, comes after a gap of 15 days.
According to a medical bulletin released by the private hospital, Vijayakanth is in good health, and the checkup is part of his post-kidney transplant monitoring. The bulletin further mentioned that he is expected to return home by Thursday, December 28.
Having previously undergone a kidney transplant surgery, Vijayakanth has been diligent about regular health checkups. The routine nature of this hospital visit is reassuring, indicating a proactive approach to his health management.
This recent hospitalization follows a previous incident on November 18, when Vijayakanth was admitted to a private hospital due to cough and fever. After a 24-day stay, he was discharged on December 1, marking a period of recuperation at home.
