The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated efforts to ensure the fulfillment of its election promises made for Coimbatore and Tamil Nadu, according to the party’s Tamil Nadu president, K. Annamalai. Speaking to the media after addressing volunteers who campaigned for the party in Coimbatore during the Lok Sabha elections, Annamalai emphasized the party’s commitment to delivering on its pledges.
Annamalai highlighted that several promises require budgetary support, such as the plan to upgrade the Railway Junction in Coimbatore with an estimated cost of ₹500 crore. The BJP has appealed to the Central government to develop the project under the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) mode rather than through a public-private partnership. This approach is intended to ensure efficient and timely execution of the upgrade.
“The NDA will present five budgets under the third term of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and all the assurances given during the elections will be met,” Annamalai assured. This commitment reflects the party’s strategic planning to align budget allocations with its election promises.
In addition, the BJP is making efforts to bring Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Coimbatore for the inauguration of its new office. During his visit, the party plans to present its demands and further discuss the implementation of its promises.
