Actor Soori, celebrated for his recent success in RS Durai Senthilkumar’s Garudan, is set to take on a leading role in an upcoming film directed by Prasanth Pandiyaraj, known for his work on Vilangu. The collaboration, which has garnered significant anticipation, will be produced by K Kumar of Lark Studios.Details regarding the film’s cast, crew, and plot remain under wraps. Prasanth Pandiyaraj, who previously made his mark with the web series Vilangu starring Vemal, made his directorial debut with Bruce Lee, featuring GV Prakash Kumar. His other ongoing projects include Jack, Lingam, and Lucky, which are at various stages of production.
In addition to this new venture, Soori will soon be seen in Kottukkaali, his second leading role following Vetrimaaranâs Viduthalai, and the third to be released. Directed by PS Vinothraj, known for the acclaimed Koozhangal, Kottukkaali will also introduce popular Malayalam actor Anna Ben to Tamil cinema. The filmâs cinematography is managed by Sakthi, with editing by Ganesh Siva.
Kottukkaali, produced by actor Sivakarthikeyanâs SK Productions, is set to hit theaters on August 23. The same day will also see the release of Mari Selvaraj’s Vaazhai, Vemal and Karunaasâ Pogumidam Vegu Thooramillai, and Kamaraj Vel’s anthology Adharma Kadhaigal.
