In a letter written to his party members, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin has accused the opposition leader, O. Panneerselvam, of spreading false information and making unwarranted criticisms. Stalin also stated that Panneerselvam, who is the leader of the opposition, is forgetting his position and using harsh language in his comments.
Stalin’s letter emphasized the need for dedicated efforts to secure victory in more than 200 constituencies in the upcoming 2026 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly elections. He stressed that mere ordinary work would not be enough, and the party must put in relentless, tireless efforts to break through any challenges. He commended the performance of the party workers in constituencies like Virudhunagar, Tiruchuzhi, and Rajapalayam, urging them to continue their efforts for victory in the coming elections.
In his letter, Stalin defended the state’s government schemes, asserting that no one should be left out of the benefits they deserve. He pointed out that it is his responsibility, along with his ministers and officials, to ensure that people’s needs are understood and met effectively. Stalin criticized the opposition, stating that those who are not in power tend to use aggressive rhetoric, spread false rumors, and complain bitterly.
He also took issue with comments made by Palaniswami regarding the naming of government schemes and buildings after the late Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi. Stalin accused Palaniswami of being unable to tolerate the positive impact of these schemes and projects named after Karunanidhi, claiming that his criticism was unwarranted.
Stalin further questioned the credibility of Palaniswami’s remarks by comparing them to the administration of the Amma Canteens, which were initiated during the AIADMK rule. He remarked that the DMK government’s management of these canteens has proven to be more efficient, referring to it as a model of Dravidian governance. He expressed his frustration at having to engage in debates with leaders who resort to uncivilized and aggressive speech.
On the political front, Stalin expressed confidence in the DMK’s continued success, stating that the party’s achievements in Dravidian-style governance are recognized worldwide. He stated that people across the districts welcome his visits with happiness, while some of his critics, whom he referred to as “stomach-ache sufferers,” continue to criticize. He concluded by reaffirming his commitment to achieving more successes and continuing the party’s historical victory streak.
