The sequel, Thamizh Padam 2, released in 2018, followed the same comedic formula but received a more lukewarm response. However, its playful mockery of other films continued to entertain many viewers. Fans eagerly awaited the third installment, and now, actor Shiva has confirmed that Thamizh Padam 3 is officially happening.
Shiva recently mentioned that he met Sreekanth of Y Not Productions to discuss the film, with discussions lasting over two hours. They have decided to move forward with the project, which will begin in 2025. Shiva also shared the challenge of creating a story by referencing nearly 100 films, highlighting the difficulty of writing a script that parodies so many iconic moments from Tamil cinema.
