The Tamil Nadu government has decided to felicitate music composer Ilaiyaraaja on his musical journey spanning half a Century, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced on Thursday.Stalin posted on social media that
 Ilaiyaraajaâs fans could participate in the function. The music composer, who has returned to Chennai after his successful symphony performance in London, called on Stalin at his residence and thanked him. It may be recalled that Mr. Stalin met Ilaiyaraaja a few days before the latter left for London.
Earlier in the day, Ilaiyaraaja met representatives of the media, and hosted a dinner to celebrate his symphony performance in London. He is planning a live performance in Chennai in June.
