The much-awaited Kannada film 45, directed by debutant Arjun Janya, has unveiled its teaser, setting the tone for a mythological-inspired action drama starring superstars Shiva Rajkumar and Upendra alongside Raj B Shetty. Slated for a grand release on August 15, the film is expected to hit screens in multiple languages, including Tamil, expanding its reach beyond Karnataka.The teaser, rich in CGI and visual grandeur, showcases an intense, stylized narrative involving the three lead actors in what appears to be a universe blending mythology with modern action. Arjun Janya, one of Kannada cinemaâs top music composers, marks his directorial debut with 45 and has brought together an impressive technical team, outsourcing VFX work to a Canadian studio and overseeing the process closely. Produced by Ramesh Reddy under the Suraj Productions banner, the filmâs cinematography is handled by Satya Hegde, with music composed by Janya himself.
At a recent teaser launch event in Chennai, Shiva Rajkumar shared nostalgic memories of his time in the city and expressed excitement about the film. âItâs always special to be back in Chennai. I grew up here,â he said. On the film, he promised it would be âengaging, entertaining, and educating.â Upendra, who shares screen space with Shiva Rajkumar again after their iconic film Om, added, âEvery moment with him on set is memorable. We started together, and it feels like a full circle.â With a strong cast, high production value, and a compelling concept, 45 is shaping up to be one of the biggest Kannada releases of the year.
