With the release of Santhanam’s upcoming film DD Next Level slated for May 16, the makers made a major announcement on Monday. The trailer glimpse of the film will be released on April 30.DD Next Level is directed by Prem Anand, who also helmed Santhanam’s previous film in the franchise, DD Returns. The film is produced by actor Arya under his banner, The Show People, and co-produced by Niharika Entertainment.
The cast includes Selvaraghavan, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Geethika, Yashika Aannand, Maaran, Nizhalgal Ravi, Kasthuri Shankar, Rajendran, and others.
While the plot is kept under wraps, a song titled Kissa 47 hints that Santhanam plays a feared film critic, disliked by producers.
The story reportedly starts on a cruise ship and unfolds on an island.
The film features music by OfRo, cinematography by Dipak Kumar Padhy, and editing by Barath Vikraman. DD Next Level will release in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
The Dhilluku Dhuddu franchise began in 2016 with Rambhala’s Dhilluku Dhuddu, followed by Dhilluku Dhuddu 2 in 2019, and DD Returns in 2023 directed by Prem Anand. All three films were box office successes, raising expectations for this next installment.
