An F-16 fighter jet of the Pakistan Air Force was shot down by India. The jet was hit by an Indian surface-to-air missile. This happened near the Sargodha air base in Pakistan.
The F-16 had taken off from the same air base. Sargodha is a key and heavily guarded base in Pakistan’s Punjab province.
The attack came after Pakistan tried to strike Jammu with drones and missiles. F-16 jets are an important part of Pakistan’s air force.
