Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin met with Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi at their residence in Delhi. The meeting occurred ahead of the NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting scheduled for today chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi .
Following the meeting, Stalin shared his sentiments on social media, stating, “There’s a special warmth in every meeting with Madam Sonia Gandhi and dear brother Rahul Gandhi at their Delhi residence. It never feels like a visit; it truly feels like being with family” .
The DMK, led by Stalin, is a key ally of the Congress in the opposition INDIA bloc at the national level. Their alliance has been instrumental in various electoral successes, including the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and subsequent state and local polls .
During his visit to Delhi, Stalin is expected to discuss critical issues concerning Tamil Nadu with the Prime Minister, including the release of pending central funds and the proposed delimitation of parliamentary constituencies.
