The trailer of Freedom, starring Sasikumar and directed by Sathyasiva, has been released and is making waves for its intense and emotional content. Set against the backdrop of Sri Lankan Tamil refugees in Tamil Nadu, the film shows Sasikumar as a bold character who stands up against police injustice and a flawed system.The trailer begins with Sasikumar being interrogated by police and slowly builds into scenes of resistance, protest, and emotional turmoil. Lijomol Jose plays a strong role, questioning the treatment of refugees and raising deep political and cultural questions.
Inspired by real events from the 1990s, Freedom promises a gripping social drama. The film also stars Sudev Nair, Malavika Avinash, and Bose Venkat, with music by Ghibran.
Freedom is set to release on July 10, 2025, in five languages – Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
