Director General of Police (DGP) Sankar Jiwal has issued an order to stop the walkathon planned by Anbumani Ramadoss.Anbumani Ramadoss, son of PMK founder Dr. Ramadoss, had started a 100-day election campaign walk. It was called ‘Urimai Meetka, Thalaimurai Kaakka Nadai Payanam,’ meaning ‘Walk to reclaim rights, protect generations.’ This walk began in Tiruporur, near Chennai.
However, Dr. Ramadoss, who is not on good terms with his son, asked the DGP to deny permission for this walkathon. DGP Sankar Jiwal issued the order to ban the walk. He has told all Police Commissioners and District Superintendents to take action.
