V.K. Sasikala, a close aide of the late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, celebrated her 71st birthday in Chennai, where she addressed the media and commented on the current state of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and other political matters.āDuring her press conference, she distributed sweets to party members and was candid about the party’s current status, stating that the AIADMK “is still weak.” Sasikala believes it is her responsibility to restore the party’s strength, and she emphasized that this task requires experienced individuals.

Sasikala criticized the current DMK government for not fulfilling its promises to the cleaning workers. She recalled that Jayalalithaa had intended to resolve the issue after the 2016 elections, a plan which was halted by the former Chief Minister’s sudden death.
āIn her address, Sasikala also gave advice to journalists, stressing the importance of professionalism and a thorough understanding of the context before asking questions.
