BJP state president Nainar Nagenthran on Friday accused Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and the DMK of political hypocrisy, saying they were adopting double standards on the issue of national unity.Reacting to Stalin’s criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his remarks about Bihari workers, Nagenthran said it was ironic that Stalin, who once vowed during his election campaign to prevent migrant workers from northern states from entering Tamil Nadu, was now lecturing on unity.
“Stalin, why this duplicity? You who now talk about harmony once declared that the DMK would not allow north Indians to enter Tamil Nadu for livelihood,” he said.
The BJP leader also alleged that several DMK ministers and MPs had made insulting remarks about people from northern states, exposing the ruling party’s “double standards.”
