Hours after formalising an alliance with the Anbumani Ramadoss-led Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) held a meeting with senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Wednesday to discuss the expansion of the NDA alliance in Tamil Nadu ahead of the forthcoming Assembly elections.
Sources said the discussions included the possible induction of TTV Dhinakaran and former Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam into the alliance. Talks were also held on bringing the DMDK on board and on the political situation within the PMK, where founder S. Ramadoss is reportedly at odds with his son Anbumani, who joined the NDA earlier in the day.
