Celebrated filmmaker Priyadarshan is all set to achieve a remarkable milestone as he embarks on his 100th directorial venture—reuniting with his long-time collaborator and close friend Mohanlal.
The iconic duo, who first worked together in Poochakkoru Mookkuthi, have shared a prolific partnership spanning over four decades, delivering more than 40 films together. Their collaborations have produced several timeless classics that continue to hold a special place in Indian cinema.
Marking the emotional significance of the milestone, Mohanlal shared a heartfelt note celebrating Priyadarshan’s journey. Reflecting on the achievement, he said that milestones are never individual accomplishments but belong to everyone who has been part of the journey. He described the 100-film mark as a testament to a lifetime of passion, dedication, and unwavering belief in the magic of cinema.
Expressing deep admiration for his friend, the actor noted that he has had the privilege of witnessing Priyadarshan’s journey up close. He added that some moments transcend words and are meant to be cherished with gratitude, calling the milestone a deeply personal and emotional occasion.
The landmark film will be produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, further adding weight to the prestigious project.
Over the years, Priyadarshan and Mohanlal have delivered several iconic films, including Chithram, Kilukkam, Oppam, and Thenmavin Kombath. Their last collaboration was the ambitious historical epic Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham.
As Priyadarshan steps into his 100th film, the reunion with Mohanlal is being seen as a fitting tribute to one of Indian cinema’s most successful director-actor partnerships. The project is already generating excitement among fans, who eagerly await yet another memorable addition to their celebrated legacy.
