KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations have announced that the release of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has been postponed from its earlier date of June 4, 2026. The makers said a new worldwide release date will be announced soon, following a strategic decision to expand the film’s international reach.
The move comes after the film’s presentation at CinemaCon, where it received a strong response from global distributors and industry stakeholders. Encouraged by the reception, the team is now working on securing wider international distribution and forming key global partnerships. With the film already completed, the focus has shifted toward ensuring a large-scale, globally aligned release that matches its ambition.
Actor-producer Yash described Toxic as a deeply personal project, saying it reaffirmed his love for cinema. He emphasised that the delay is aimed at giving the film the global platform it deserves, especially at a time when Indian cinema is gaining international prominence.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas and co-written by her along with Yash, the film features a star-studded cast including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria. Shot in Kannada and English, Toxic will also release in multiple Indian languages, aiming to reach audiences worldwide on a yet-to-be-announced date.
