Actor Yogi Babu is set to take on a lead role in an upcoming untitled Telugu film, marking an important step in his career as a primary protagonist in the industry. The film will also feature Satya in a lead role, promising a strong comedic pairing.
The project will be directed by Pawan Basamsetti, who previously made his directorial debut with Rangabali. Production for the film has officially commenced.
The film was formally launched during a ceremony held at Ramoji Film City, attended by several notable filmmakers including Kishore Tirumala, Mahesh Babu P, Sandeep Raj, and Yadu Vamsi.
Director Pawan Basamsetti has also penned the script and is producing the film under his Nayavayu banner, alongside Nagarjuna Reddy, who is backing the project under the Dream Movie Makers banner. While specific plot details remain under wraps, the makers have described the film as a full-fledged comedy entertainer.
The technical crew includes music composer Pawan CH, known for his debut in Love Story and his collaboration with the director in Rangabali. Cinematography will be handled by Bablu Aju, while art direction is overseen by Kamesh.
Yogi Babu was last seen in the Telugu film Couple Friendly. He will next appear in Karuppu, starring Suriya, which is set to release in Telugu under the title Veera Bhadrudu.
