AGS Entertainment has officially kickstarted production on its upcoming film Love Bite, headlined by Santhanam, with a pooja ceremony and a special announcement video unveiling key additions to the cast.
The project, which generated curiosity with its intriguing first-look poster earlier, now moves into full-fledged production with a mix of familiar and fresh faces joining the venture.
Aparna Das has been confirmed as the female lead opposite Santhanam. The film also boasts a notable ensemble cast including VTV Ganesh, Adithya Kathir, Anandaraj, Bjorn Surrao, Rajendran, Muthukumar, Nirosha, Redin Kingsley and Kalki Raja, among others. The film is directed by Selvin Raj Xavier, who previously made his debut with the horror-comedy Conjuring Kannappan, and appears to be continuing in a similar genre space with this new outing.
The first-look poster of Love Bite featured a striking neon-lit design reminiscent of the Goosebumps book series by RL Stine, strongly hinting at a zombie-themed narrative. Visual elements such as tombstones and undead figures emerging from graves suggest that the film will blend horror with comedy, a genre that has proven successful in Tamil cinema in recent years.
On the technical side, the film’s editing is handled by Pradeep E Ragav, while Yuva takes care of cinematography. Archana Kalpathi serves as the creative producer under the AGS Entertainment banner, with Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh and Kalpathi S Suresh backing the project. The makers are yet to reveal the music composer, leaving one key aspect of the film’s creative team still under wraps as anticipation builds around this quirky zombie entertainer.
