Chennai, Aug 18:
Zomato said the National Pension System (NPS) corpus built by its delivery partners has crossed Rs 1 crore, with enrolments under its NPS Platform Workers Model surpassing 2 lakh Permanent Retirement Account Numbers (PRANs).
Launched in October 2025 in partnership with HDFC Pension and enabled by KFintech, the NPS e-Shramik model allows delivery partners to make small, regular contributions towards long-term financial security.
Zomato CEO Aditya Mangla said the milestone reflected delivery partners’ efforts to build a more secure future through regular savings.
HDFC Pension MD and CEO Sriram Iyer said the initiative demonstrated how collaboration between industry, regulators and corporates could create accessible retirement solutions for gig workers.
According to PFRDA, the participation of more than two lakh delivery partners highlights growing awareness among gig workers about the importance of long-term financial security.
Zomato said it had an average of 6.38 lakh independent monthly active delivery partners in Q1 FY27 and continues to offer initiatives including health insurance, personal accident cover and 24×7 SOS support.
