Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju-starrer Bethlehem Kudumba Unit will release in Tamil and Telugu on September 4, the makers announced on Monday.
Directed by Girish AD, the Malayalam film hit theatres on August 21 and has been receiving a strong response, with packed houses reported in Kerala and overseas.
The film follows Ashley (Mamitha Baiju), who falls in love with her older neighbour Justin (Nivin Pauly), a charismatic middle-aged man. Set against the backdrop of a close-knit neighbourhood and a large family, the film combines romance, humour and slice-of-life drama.
Bethlehem Kudumba Unit marks Nivin Pauly’s biggest opening, according to the makers. Girish AD and Kiran Josey have co-written the film, which is produced by Dileesh Pothan, Fahadh Faasil and Syam Pushkaran under Bhavana Studios.
Future Runup Films will distribute the Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
