Chennai, Sept 2:

Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited (CSKCL), the company that operates the Chennai Super Kings franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL), reported an 11% decline in net profit for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, amid lower central-rights income and higher operating expenses.

According to the company’s FY26 annual report, net profit stood at Rs 161.63 crore, compared with Rs 180.94 crore in the previous financial year. Total comprehensive income also declined to Rs 161.59 crore from Rs 180.91 crore in FY25.

CSK’s total revenue during FY26 stood at Rs 636.46 crore, marginally lower than Rs 643.99 crore recorded in the previous year.

However, revenue from operations increased by Rs 6.64 crore to Rs 622.12 crore from Rs 615.48 crore in FY25. The growth in operating revenue was supported by higher sponsorship income and other tournament-related earnings.

This increase, however, was not enough to fully offset a significant reduction in income from the IPL’s central rights pool.
