The indie music video album ‘Annakkiliye’, composed by musician Smith Asher, has been released by Albuquerque Records, the music label founded by Anirudh.
The song, written and sung by Deekshitha along with Smith Asher, features actors Pawan Alex and Pragathi Srivatsava. Directed by Viky Pup, the video has cinematography by Jay Charola and is produced by Thejo Bharathwaj. Anirudh has released the song on his official YouTube channel.
The music video unfolds as a fantasy love story set against a dense forest, featuring a young man, a forest goddess, tribal archers, a dramatic escape and the lovers plunging into deep waters. A Yaali, the mythical creature prominently featured in ancient Tamil temple sculptures, also plays a key role as the lovers escape and soar through the skies.
One of the highlights of the video is the creation of the Yaali entirely through graphics without the use of artificial intelligence. The team led by Viky Pup reportedly spent nearly six months working on the visuals to bring the mythical creature to life for a contemporary audience.
