Chennai, Oct. 22:
The second air-conditioned suburban train service in Chennai will begin trial operations on October 23, connecting Avadi, Chennai Central and Arakkonam. The trial run will continue until December 24.
The 12-coach train, manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Perambur, features air-conditioning, automatic doors and CCTV cameras. The service is expected to offer a more comfortable commute for suburban passengers.
