Washington, Nov 7:
The United States has announced a reward of up to $20 million, along with potential relocation assistance, for actionable intelligence regarding Iran’s nuclear facilities, equipment, and associated scientific personnel.
The announcement was made by US Central Command under the State Department’s Rewards for Justice programme. According to the State Department, Tehran’s continued non-compliance with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) safeguards has created a critical loss of “continuity of knowledge” regarding the production and stockpiles of essential components, including centrifuges.
The aggressive intelligence push comes despite assertions by US President Donald Trump that American strikes have severely degraded Iranian nuclear sites, including targets near Pickaxe Mountain. Speaking in West Palm Beach, Florida, Trump said: “If we didn’t hit Iran, you wouldn’t have Israel today.” However, Trump also noted that backchannel diplomacy mediated by Qatar remains active, stating: “We’re dealing with them now. They want to make a deal very badly.”
