Actress Yashika Anand of Bigg Boss fame is playing the female lead in a couple of films. Interestingly the young star has chosen to appear in a song in Kazhugu 2. The song Sakalakala Valli was shot recently featuring 300 dancers along with Yashika.
Krishna and Bindhu Madhavi, who played the lead roles in the first part, have been roped in for this film as well.
Kazhugu, released in 2012, received praise for the making and the performances of the leads. It traced the love story of a man who earns his living by recovering the dead bodies of suicide victims.
Sathya Siva, who directed Kazhugu, is directing this film, which has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Editor Praveen KL and cinematographer Sathya who were part of the original have been replaced by Gopikrishna and Raja Battacharjee, respectively.
