Udhayanidhi Stalin’s next is edge-of-the-seat thriller

Udhayanidhi Stalin has been roped in by Iravukku Aayiram Kangal director Mu Maran to star in his next film, Kannai Nambathey.

The latest update about Kannai Nambathey is that the film will be along the same vein as the hit film, Iravukku Aayiram Kangal.
Produced by V N Ranjith Kumar, this new film is also a crime thriller, says director Maran.
Aathmika of Meesaya Murukku-fame plays the romantic interest of Udhay in the film which also has Sathish in an important role.
Sam CS of Vikram Vedha-fame has been roped in to compose music for the film and Sridhar will be cranking the camera.
The principal shoot of the film will begin from the second week of February.
Talking about the film, Maran said, “I have conceived this film as a suspenseful crime-thriller with a strong emotional connect. The moment I wrote the first draft, I knew that Udhayanidhi sir would be the right choice for this project. The entire story revolves around the actions of his character, and it will be an edge-of-the-seat experience for the audience.”
At present Udhayanidhi Stalin is awaiting the release of the Seenu Ramasamy’s directorial venture Kanne Kalaimaane which will hit the screens 22 February. This movie is said to be a rural emotional entertainer. He also has Angel and Psycho lined up which are in various stages of production.
