Chennai: Pakistan has informed that it will be releasing Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman tomorrow. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan today announced in Parliament, to the thumping of desks, that they were releasing the prisoner from India as a gesture of peace.
He was seen on TV saying that Abhinandan will be released tomorrow.
India had been urging Pakistan to release the IAF pilot who landed on Pakistani soil while ejecting from his MiG 21 plane that took a hit from a Pakistani F-16 aircraft, and he was taken prisoner.
Pakistan also released a video of the Wing Commander being questioned by Pakistani officials while sipping some tea. His stoic answers won him the hearts of the entire country as the video went viral.
